Rules and Regulations

1. The Elaine and Andrew Daniluk Florida Young Artists International Piano Concerto Competition (Live/Virtual) is open to contestants of all nationalities and countries. Participants compete in categories based on their age and will be judged based solely on their recordings for the pre-screening and semifinal round, and live performance via zoom if selected as a finalist.

2.  Online Concerto Category and Live Concerto Category Asia Chapter:  The deadline to apply is June 5th 11:59pm US-EST.  The results will be notified by email on the evening of June 6th, 2026.  Those who advance to the semifinal round will use the same recording that it was submitted for the pre-screening. No resubmission is necessary and there will be no extra charge for the semifinal round.  The results from the semifinal round will be notified by email on June 7th, and the finalists will be given their scheduled time for the Final Round that will take place on June 12th. The winners will be invited to perform with the FYAIPC Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Alberto Bade in Miami on August 28th, 2026. The movement of the concerto performed for the final round must be the same as the one submitted on the video. The Live Concerto competition in Asia will take place at Manabinomori International Junior Piano Institute of Uozu in Uozu City, Toyama-Prefecture, Japan on July 5th.

 

3. All applicants must submit a video recording uploaded to YouTube.  No editing is allowed. The concerto movement must be performed by memory.

 Note: The video must clearly show the profile, hands and feet of the contestant. Please dress appropriately.

4. Applicants are also required to submit a short biography, a headshot, and proof of age by sending one of the following:

  • Birth certificate

  • Driver’s license or State ID

  • Passport

All Applications will be considered INCOMPLETE until these documents have been submitted.

In the event of a cancellation, the competition will refund the application fee.

5. The concerto movement could be recorded solo, with piano accompaniment or with orchestra but if the contestant were to advance to the final then the concerto must be played with an accompanist.

Piano Concerto (One Movement - Live/Virtual)

Elementary: Up to 8 years old 

Junior: 9-13 

Senior: 14-18 

College and Professional 19 - 29

Piano Concerto (One Movement - Asia Chapter Live)

Junior Category: Up to 12 years old

Senior Category: 13 - 18 years old

6. It is preferable that the Concerto be chosen from the following composers: (Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin and Grieg).  However, due to multiple requests, we are allowing all those who would like to apply to the concerto division category to enter with any concerto of the standard repertoire, but the work must not be under copyright.  

7. When you submit the Application Form to floridayoungartistsipc@gmail.com with the headline: "application 2026 and your name next to it." Please include your name, the name of the piece, composer's name and duration. 

YouTube Videos must include in the description: your name, the name of the piece, composer’s name, your age and category and the duration of the movement. Also, the videos must be available for watching online whether as Public or Unlisted.

8. By participating in the competition, competitors agree to disown the right for any material (financial) remuneration regarding eventual publication and distribution of music video recordings and publications.

The Jury is comprised by well renowned performing artists and pedagogues. All Jury decisions are final and irrevocable.

 9. All First, Second and Third Prize Winners will receive a monetary award. Honorable Mentions will receive a diploma.  Finalists will receive a certificate upon request. Teachers, (also upon request) will receive a certificate.  Winners of the competition in previous years are allowed to compete again.

10.  Application fee is $135
